To whom it may
concern: I just finished a 2-day trip for the weekend of June 10, 2000
at the Fisk camp. I want to write and let management know how much fun my party
had. I was pleasantly surprised at every step of the trip. Firstly, the service
your employees provided us was just awesome. We were greeted with smiles the
whole time and it really impacts the whole group. Secondly, the level of safety
and organization provided was surprising and comforting to know. I was
impressed by the kayakers standing by to assist anyone with trouble and to make
sure we were safe and on course. Everything was on time, and on schedule. And
need I say anything about the yummy, yummy, yummy food and drink? There was
more food than any of us expected or could possibly finish. How awesome is it
to have a margarita and mellow out before dinner and dancing? I'd say the only
downfall to the trip was overindulging on the appetizers. We all had a great
time, and your friendly, organized staff definitely played a huge part in it. I
wish I could remember everyone's name to commend them. But it was everyone who
worked with us at Fisk camp for the weekend. Thanks, and we'll be sure to do
this again soon.
Thanks, Johanna |

Subject: Boy
Scout Troop 301
Dear Whitewater
Adventures,
On behalf of Boy Scout Troop 301 I want to thank you for all for
the quality river experience you provided for our boys. As you know, it is very
difficult to find a really quality outing that is high adventure, and
affordable. Through the unique quality of Cache Creek, and the expertise of
your staff, you provided a memorable experience for our boys. Your food was
excellent, the camaraderie was excellent, the time your staff provided for both
personal and river safety was also valuable. Having done a significant amount
of Kayaking on western rivers, I know how difficult it is to find a
professional outfitter that can tailor their program around a youth
organizations. Whitewater Adventures is very unique in that regard. Last but
not least, I want to thank you for your tremendous help with our campfire
program. The tastefully done skits, great music, and very special sound of your
truly melodious voice is something not soon forgotten. Keep up the good work,
and we hope to see you again in the not to distant future.
Sincerely
yours, Bill Moore - Asst. Scout Master Troop 301 |

Members Blasted: The HQ management team and about 30 HQ members went on
a 2 day raft trip with Whitewater Adventures. The word was "BLAST" and that was
what we had in more ways than one! The trip started with the easy hour and a
half drive to Upper Cache Creek, where check-in and loading camp gear into
buses and u-hauls was organized and made simple by the great Whitewater
Adventures staff. HQ members loaded on to one of the six buses and were driven
up over the beautiful mountains and delivered right down to the water of Cache
Creek.
After a short
orientation on the history of the area, safety and rowing techniques, we were
off to the water. Well the rafting started with one blast. The one from Tony
& John Giovannoni's home made water blasters. These guys are serious. These
blasters are about 3 feet long and can send streams of water 20 feet. We didn't
see these guys again until later that day and they were still playing GI Joe.
The only person with an oar on their 4 man raft was Julie. That girl got her
exercise! The water was perfect and the rafting was fun. We were pulled out of
the water in the late afternoon and proceeded to do the hardest task of the
trip - setting up our tents. By the time we'd set up tents and taken a swim the
hors d'oerves and margaritas were served. Two 30 foot long tables were set up
with every imaginable snack food from shrimp dip to M & M's. During this
"grazing hour" we were entertained with a hula dance and an egg toss which our
very own, John Giovannoni won, capturing another "free" rafting trip! (This guy
goes on this trip consecutive weekends all summer). The second the tables were
cleared of snacks, supper was served- steak, chicken, monster potatoes, corn on
the cob, grilled mushrooms, and pasta salad. Immediately following supper ( and
before you had time to think about the corn in your teeth) the announcement was
made "We will now be coming around with Oreo cookies and TOOTH PICKS". These
people have the details down! Even more unbelievable was the evening
entertainment. It's a disco in the woods! Flashing lights, neon necklaces,
disco tunes, and dancing Whitewater staff, in costume, nonetheless. Everyone
danced until they sent us to bed. Robin Russell and Trever Ensele win the HQ
member "I got out and I got crazy" awards! (We'd tell you about it, but we're
sworn to secrecy. Just ask them how much fun they had?!) More food in the
morning.....Pastries, fruit, ham & eggs, potatoes.... a short bus ride and
off to the water for another day of fun. Everyone was feeling more brave and
confident about their rowing skills the second day. There were a lot more
people on 2 man rafts. We didn't see Tony & Julie until late in the day.
Tony was blasting people and Julie was doing the rowing. THAT GIRL GOT HER
EXERCISE! We were pulled out of the water right at the parking lot, all of our
camp gear was waiting, photos were posted, and the trip was over. We had a
blast!
We're planning
next year's trip already. Save the second weekend in July because you're not
going to want to miss out on the fun! Lisa & Gail
